Fat Chicks aren't Grandma's

Why is it that retailers think all fat chicks want to look like a grandma in a dress? Or in elastic waisted polyester pants with a square shaped unbelievably floral shirt? Why doesn't anyone think that a fat chick might want to look half way stylish even though she's a bit on the plump side? Yes, we went shopping yesterday for dresses for my sister-in-law's upcoming wedding. Not only was the selection pathetic but I was a bit cranky by the end of the outing. Not to mention that Eric sat in the car with the kids most of the time because half of them fell alseep. The other half of them made up for the sleeping ones by going from goofy to naughty jumping all over the car and seeing if I could hear them in the store. In the end we came home without any dresses and one exhausted crew! We'll have to try again another day! Maybe in the meantime those retailers out there will get some good stock in for the younger crew who wear women's clothing! :)
