The First "OFFICIAL" Day of Summer

It's the first day the kids are out of school for summer. I slept in with the exception of Eric waking me at 4:00 am asking me where his clothes were (which I forgot to dry so I frantically ran to the laundry room and dried the neccessities) so he could leave for his early flight. The new rules are in play - the house has to be picked up and rooms cleaned before swimming, TV only if all chores are finished, 30 minutes of computer per kid per day, no reading until the chores are done (only with my crew would I have to post a rule that silly) and the meanest mommy rule ever: GET ALONG OR GO TO YOUR ROOM. Yippee! It's summer!

I like your "get along or go to your room" rule. it's the one we use in our household, too. samantha usually opts for her room.

Yes, Cassie. Smooth sailing. The summer is only a few hours old and they are already fighting... :)

Gail - E is in Georgia. He doesn't leave for China until the end of the month! Need a place to visit???? There's a pool a block away! :)

OK, the "get along or go to your room" thing is good-- but what if they all have the same room?

Yeah, Jody, that sucks. What DO you do? So far Beth and Lucy haven't needed to be separated from each other...you know, in the whole ONE day of summer we've experienced. Let me know what you figure out there.
